SDTC Funding

It is with great excitement that Carbon Block™ announces that they have been awarded funding by the Sustainable Development Technology Fund. Carbon Block, a participant in the North Forge Technology Exchange incubator at the University of Manitoba is the only Manitoba company selected in this round and one of six, historically to be awarded these funds in Manitoba. “Government emission reduction programs, such as Efficiency Manitoba, generate valuable carbon offsets which are highly sought after by international corporations.,” says, President Alex Stuart, “Carbon Block’s technology measures, reports, and verifies emission reductions and STDC funding advances our mission to make decarbonization programs cost-neutral.”

As a recent graduate of the Creative Destruction Labs (CDL) Blockchain Stream and current participant in the North Forge Technology Exchange accelerator & Foresight Cleantech Incubator, Carbon Block is well position to achieve its mission of reducing friction in the carbon markets.

About Carbon Block™

Carbon Block™ uses patent-pending technology backed by blockchain to automate the environmental audit in order to create high-quality, compliance grade ISO compliant environmental audits. Their first application is to create carbon offsets where the traditional manual environmental audit would be cost prohibitive. Enabling environmental compliance, while connecting investment to decarbonization activities is a win-win-win for regulators along with buyers and sellers of carbon offsets.
